My Review of My Cot

Originally submitted at One Step Ahead

One children's cot, so many uses! Take this portable cot to Grandma's, day care, sleepovers — even big sister's soccer games. It lifts kids nicely off the ground, so they stay comfy and dry, indoors and out. Encourages napping; ideal for spectator events. Kids can even sit on it w...

Cons: Poor Construction

Describe Yourself: Parent of Two or More Children

I was so disappointed. I purchased two cots after reading rave reviews. What were these people thinking. Not only is the middle support completely out of line with the rest of the bed but my kids broke the plastic frame pieces in the first four hours these were out of the box. The cots were not abused. These are going straight back to the store because they are unsafe.

Ramen, anyone?

I remember my ramen noodle days in college. We NEVER had this at home and I didn't know what it was until my sophomore year at U of H. I saw this recipe link posted today from the Mommysavers discussion board and had to repost it. There are dozens of recipes using ramen noodles. Some of them look okay but I don't think I'd serve it to the kids...

Life Goes So Fast

Since I last posted we've had another baby mouse, Mr. Mouse has accepted a job in Pennsylvania and Grandma Mouse has been diagnosed with cancer. Nothing stays the same here on earth. I don't know how we'll like the cold weather when we move but the area seems to have a slower pace of life and road rage is at a minimum.

Girlie mouse loves airplanes, more than her father if that's possible. She also loves ice cream and puppies (Duke especially, though she pulls his fur and smacks him pretty hard sometimes).

We are literally falling all over each other in this townhouse. Little Tikes stock must be soaring since our brood has grown. I can't wait to be in a larger place with a yard, a private yard - a yard where the neighbors aren't close enough to hear us burp after a large dinner.

Boy mouse slept last night. Sometimes the lack of sleep feels like torture. I know it's hard to be a baby boy whose teething makes it impossible to be still, even when you're exhausted. He won't always be this little.

I've forgotten how expensive it is to own a home. If the bank decides we are worthy then we will close on our anniversary. Instead of taking a cruise and staying at the Ritz we will sleep on a futon in a house with no furniture. We will, however, be surrounded by the love of a family we've fought hard to make and keep whole. God does love us indeed.
